experience helping people navigate some of life’s most important moments.

ceremonies that feels personal, meaningful, and unmistakably authentic to the
couples he works with. His approach combines thoughtful guidance, humour, and a
deep respect for the significance of the promises being made, helping couples
feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely present on their wedding day.
When he’s not marrying people, he’s usually writing a book,
playing one of his guitars, building another guitar (because there is no such
thing as enough guitars), or finding creative ways to make complicated things
easier to understand.

Alison Pope
Alison is a registered marriage officer, producer,
performer, and human rights advocate who believes that marriage should be
accessible, inclusive, and available to everyone.
As founder of the South African Marriage Rights Collective,
she has worked to make the marriage process more understandable and less
intimidating for couples from all walks of life. Her background in television,
radio, podcasting, and on-stage performance gives her a natural ability to
connect with people, tell meaningful stories, and create ceremonies that are
both engaging and deeply personal.
Known for her warmth, humour, and unwavering commitment to
the people she serves, Alison guides couples through every step of the journey
with care, compassion, and genuine enthusiasm. She believes every couple
deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated on one of the most important
days of their lives.
Alison is available for secular and spiritually-sensitive
ceremonies for all kinds of couples.
Lesley Pope
Lesley is a marriage officer, educator, musician, and Foundation Phase Head of Department who brings warmth, kindness, and calm confidence to every wedding she is part of.
Years spent teaching and leading in the classroom have given her an exceptional ability to connect with people, adapt to changing situations, and create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and at ease. Her steady presence, gentle sense of humour, and genuine care for others help couples relax and enjoy the moment, even when wedding-day nerves make an appearance.
Outside of weddings, Lesley enjoys making music, singing alto, playing the ukulele, and performing with the Queer Chorus of Johannesburg. She is passionate about helping couples celebrate their love in a way that feels authentic, joyful, and uniquely their own.

Pastor Susan Snyman (Gold Package Supplier)
Pastor Susan Snyman is a warm-hearted, compassionate, and approachable marriage officer who is passionate about helping couples celebrate one of the most important days of their lives. Ordained as a pastor in 2006 and registered as a Marriage Officer with the Department of Home Affairs since 2013, Susan has officiated a wide variety of wedding ceremonies, creating meaningful and memorable experiences for every couple.
She performs both religious and non-religious weddings and proudly officiates marriages for couples from all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. Susan also conducts same-sex marriages and has extensive experience assisting with the legal requirements and documentation for marriages involving various faiths, including Muslim and Hindu traditions.

I am a biblical and faith based Christian minister and evangelist with over 10 years of ministry experience. My approach to weddings combines reverence for the sacred covenant of marriage with a warm sense of humor, creating ceremonies that are both meaningful, heartfelt and enjoyable.
My beliefs are firmly rooted on the word of God. I believe marriage is God’s design and a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, joined together by God as one. I stand on the believe that Scripture is the final authority for faith, marriage and life.
I am passionate about biblical love, which goes beyond emotions and is expressed through commitment, faithfulness, sacrifice, forgiveness, and service.
My desire is to help couples begin their marriage with Christ at the center, forming a strong biblical covenantal foundation for the years ahead.
